Caroline Merle, partner, advises and represents both French and international clients in a wide range of industries, including manufacturing, life sciences, luxury goods, retail, and tech.
Her practice covers all aspects of corporate social organization, including employee representation, collective bargaining, and working time arrangements. She has particular expertise in restructuring operations, whether as part of M&A transactions or in the context of internal reorganizations (such as redundancy plans, voluntary departure schemes, and collective performance agreements).
Caroline lectures at Université Paris II Panthéon-Assas, within the Master’s program in Labour Law – Social Protection and Compensation track, as well as the Master’s in Labour Relations Law and Practice (DPRT). She also teaches in the DJCE program at Université Jean Moulin Lyon III.
She holds a Master’s degree in Labour Relations Law and Practice (DPRT) and a Research Master’s in Business Law from Université Paris II Panthéon-Assas. A member of the Paris Bar since 2008, she spent eight years in the employment law team at Gide Loyrette Nouel, before joining Vivant Avocats as a partner.
Caroline is a member of FrenchFounders, Expertes France, and the French-Chinese Association for Economic Law (AFCDE).
